Northville Man Charged in Snapchat Kidnapping Case

Charles Willis, a 22-year-old man from Northville Township, Michigan, faces multiple felony charges including kidnapping, enticing a minor for immoral purposes, child sexually abusive activity, and six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct after allegedly luring a 14-year-old girl from Barry County via Snapchat and transporting her by Uber to his home. Police say Willis instructed the girl to stay in his basement, and she was found walking alone two days later, leading to his arrest after a search of his residence. Willis is currently held at Wayne County Jail on a $1 million bond, with a probable cause conference set for May 9. Investigators report Willis has a history of inappropriate contact with minors and suspect additional victims.
