Three Juveniles Arrested Following Stolen Vehicle Pursuits in California

A juvenile suspect was arrested in Vallejo after leading police on a high-speed, 13-mile pursuit in a stolen Ford Fusion that had been taken during an armed carjacking in Oakland. Vallejo Police attempted a traffic stop on Redwood Parkway, but the unlicensed driver failed to yield, prompting a chase onto Interstate 80. Officers, with assistance from the California Highway Patrol Air Unit, ended the pursuit using a precision immobilization technique (PIT maneuver) near Mare Island Way and Harbor Way. The juvenile was safely detained and taken to the Solano County Juvenile Detention Facility, and the vehicle’s owner was notified. Police emphasized their commitment to public safety and holding offenders accountable.
