Adam Collard hospitalized for urgent back surgery after losing leg feeling

Adam Collard, former Love Island star and fitness coach, was rushed to hospital after months of worsening back pain culminated in him losing feeling in his right leg. The injury, which began with a 'tweak' and developed into excruciating pain, left him unable to walk or even sit comfortably, and impacted his ability to care for his newborn son with fiancée Laura Woods. After conservative treatments including physiotherapy, osteopathy, nerve root blockers, and spinal injections failed to provide lasting relief, Collard was diagnosed with a ruptured disc compressing his sciatic nerve. The situation became critical when he lost all feeling in his leg, prompting Woods to call an ambulance. Collard underwent successful lumbar decompression and discectomy surgery, regaining sensation in his leg, though he now faces a long recovery and must adjust his training regimen for the foreseeable future.
