BLA Claims IED Attack Kills 10 Pakistani Soldiers in Quetta
The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for a deadly roadside bomb attack in Quetta, Balochistan, that killed ten Pakistani military personnel and injured three others. The attack, carried out with a remote-controlled improvised explosive device in the Margat area, targeted a vehicle reportedly belonging to a bomb disposal squad and resulted in its total destruction. BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch stated that all ten soldiers on board were killed, naming several of the victims. This incident is part of an ongoing series of violent actions by the BLA, including a train hijacking in March that resulted in about 60 deaths, highlighting the persistent conflict between Baloch insurgents and the Pakistani government. The BLA released a video of the attack and pledged continued operations against the Pakistani military.
