Construction Worker Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run on I-95 Foxborough

Two separate incidents involving construction workers struck by vehicles on major interstate highways were reported. On Interstate 64 West near the Oakwood Road exit, a construction worker was hit by a tractor trailer but remained alert and was transported to a hospital by a supervisor. In Foxborough, Massachusetts, early Monday morning, a Massachusetts Department of Transportation contractor was seriously injured in a hit-and-run on Interstate 95 while retrieving a sign. State police applied a tourniquet to control severe bleeding on the worker's leg before emergency medical services arrived, and a passenger-side mirror believed to be from the suspect's vehicle was recovered at the scene. Authorities are actively investigating the hit-and-run and have asked the public to come forward with any information. Officials emphasized the importance of the Move Over Law to protect road workers and expressed concern and sympathy for the injured worker and their family.
