Rivian Spinoff Also Unveils TM-B E-Bike
Also, a micromobility startup spun off from Rivian Automotive and valued at $1 billion, unveiled its first lineup in Oakland led by the modular TM-B e-bike plus a quad, a cargo delivery bicycle and a connected helmet. The TM-B centers on a weatherproof power block housing a battery, generator and a pedal-by-wire “DreamRide” system, and offers swappable seats, multiple ride profiles and a 5-inch touchscreen with app integration. It is a Class 3 pedal-assist e-bike capable of 28 mph (and a 20 mph throttle where allowed), with regenerative braking, integrated lighting and ABS; Also says trims will deliver roughly 60 miles for the base model and about 100 miles for Performance/Launch editions. Launch and Performance editions are priced at $4,500 (the Launch arriving spring 2026) while a cheaper base model is expected later for under $4,000. Also announced an Amazon partnership to deploy cargo bikes for urban deliveries and said it will pursue vertically integrated, software- and design-driven products for commercial fleets and consumers, backed by funding that included $105 million from Rivian and $200 million from Greenoaks.
