Two Indicted in Texas Antifa-Linked ICE Attack
Federal prosecutors indicted Cameron Arnold (aka Autumn Hill) and Zachary Evetts on terrorism-related charges for their alleged roles in a July 4 attack on the Prairieland ICE detention center in Alvarado, Texas, the first use of federal terrorism statutes tied to Antifa following President Trump’s designation. The indictment charges them with providing material support to terrorists, multiple counts of attempted murder of federal officers and employees, and discharging firearms during violent crimes, alleging they were part of an Antifa cell that used fireworks and vehicle vandalism to distract officers before opening fire and wounding an Alvarado police officer. Prosecutors allege the group stockpiled more than 50 firearms — including AR‑platform rifles, homemade weapons and a rifle with a binary trigger — and that members carried body armor, tactical maps, anarchist literature and exchanged encrypted messages while planning the attack. FBI Director Kash Patel called the incident a “planned and coordinated” terrorist attack and Attorney General Pam Bondi said the charges align with the presidential designation, while defense attorneys say the terrorism allegations are politically motivated and lack sufficient evidence. Arnold and Evetts remain in federal custody, have not entered pleas, and authorities say the broader investigation has led to additional arrests as the Justice Department continues to pursue prosecutions.
