Bradenton restaurant GM arrested for burglary

William “Billy” Johnson, the general manager of Oak & Stone restaurant in Bradenton, Florida, was arrested after police say he burglarized the establishment where he worked. Surveillance video showed a masked individual unplugging security cameras and later opening the restaurant’s door with a key registered to Johnson. The suspect, identified as Johnson, parked his own vehicle several blocks away and was seen leaving the restaurant with a deposit bag after wiping the door handles and leaving the entrance unlocked. An employee discovered the burglary in the morning, finding the safe open and empty and the cash register forced open. Johnson was arrested at his home, declined to speak with detectives, and has since been dismissed from his position at Oak & Stone. The investigation remains ongoing.
