Turkey Crashes Through Truck Windshield on I-96
A 19-year-old man from Sterling Heights was driving eastbound on I-96 near Fowlerville Road in Livingston County, Michigan, when a wild turkey crashed through his Ford F-250's windshield at around 12:45 p.m. on April 24. The driver remained unharmed and managed to keep control of the truck, preventing a major accident. The turkey did not survive the collision. Michigan State Police reminded motorists to be vigilant for wildlife during turkey hunting season, which runs from April 20 through June 7, as birds may be more active near roads to escape hunters. Authorities also emphasized the importance of staying alert to avoid similar incidents. No further injuries or accidents were reported.
