Cabinets Approve Key Proposals Across India, Ethiopia, and Sri Lanka

The Indian Union Cabinet has approved the inclusion of caste enumeration in the upcoming national census, a significant move as caste has been excluded from the main census since independence, except for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Additionally, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs set the Fair and Remunerative Price of sugarcane for the 2025-26 season and approved a Greenfield High-Speed Corridor project.
