Woman killed, man injured in Dodge County dump truck SUV crash
A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of County Highways I and E in the Town of Burnett, Dodge County, involving a 64-year-old Janesville woman driving a 2020 Chevrolet Blazer and a 66-year-old Randolph man driving a 2005 Sterling dump truck. The SUV, heading northbound, entered the intersection where the westbound dump truck, which had the right of way on Highway E, struck it. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner, while the dump truck driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation has not yet determined whether the SUV stopped at the stop sign on Highway I. Multiple emergency and response teams assisted at the crash scene, and the names of those involved have been withheld pending family notification. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
