The outage was reported by over 1,100 users on Downdetector, with many transactions being marked as 'payment pending.' Zelle confirmed the disruption was due to an issue with third-party provider Fiserv and said they were working with partners to resolve it. The outage's impact was heightened because Zelle is integrated into many banks' online platforms, causing some users to believe their banks were also down. Bank representatives acknowledged the vendor-related issue and reassured customers that restoration efforts were underway.
