UK Version of 'Saturday Night Live' Set for 2026 Launch

NBC's iconic sketch comedy show 'Saturday Night Live' is set to launch a British version in 2026, produced in collaboration with Sky Studios. The U.K. adaptation will feature a British cast, famous guest hosts, and musical acts, maintaining the show's well-known format. Lorne Michaels, the creator of 'SNL,' will serve as executive producer for both the U.K. and U.S. versions, which is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary. Sky Studios CEO Cecile Frot-Coutaz expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting the show's cultural significance over the decades. While several countries, including Japan and Italy, have attempted to produce local versions of 'SNL,' most have had limited success.
