Gobert Dunk Seals Timberwolves' 118-114 Win
The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Portland Trail Blazers 118-114 in the season opener. Anthony Edwards scored 41 and led a fourth-quarter rally, and Rudy Gobert’s late dunk sealed the victory; the Wolves also got 19 points from Julius Randle. Jerami Grant scored 29 off the bench for Portland and Jrue Holiday finished with 14 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Portland led for much of the game but could not hold the lead late. Damian Lillard was introduced pregame and will miss the season with an Achilles injury, and Portland also missed Scoot Henderson; Edwards had been listed questionable with back spasms but started.
