National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is being observed across multiple U.S. communities on Saturday, October 25, aiming to provide safe and anonymous disposal of unused or expired medications to prevent misuse and environmental harm. Law enforcement agencies including the Campbell County Sheriff's Office, Fremont Police Department, Rolla Police Department, and Tioga County Public Health Department, in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration, are hosting events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at various local venues such as Walmart, police departments, and health service buildings. Accepted items generally include tablets, capsules, patches, sealed liquid medications, and vape devices without batteries, while syringes, sharps, and illicit substances are typically excluded except in Tioga County where sealed sharps containers are accepted.
