Six Dead in Thailand Plane Crash During Test Flight
A small police aircraft crashed into the Gulf of Thailand near the resort town of Cha-am during a test flight for parachute training, resulting in the deaths of all six police officers on board. The incident occurred shortly after takeoff, and emergency services found four officers dead at the scene while two others, including the pilot, died after being transported to the hospital. The Royal Thai Police expressed condolences and confirmed that the victims' families would receive support and funeral arrangements. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, with efforts focused on analyzing the aircraft’s black box and coordinating with agencies due to the challenging offshore location. The identities of the victims have not yet been disclosed, and police leadership has visited the site to oversee the response and investigation. Images and videos of the wreckage show the plane broken in the water and have circulated widely on social media.
