Plaquemine Man Killed in LA 75 Crash, Child Injured

A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred on April 30 on Louisiana Highway 75 near Mendoza Road in Iberville Parish, resulting in the death of 36-year-old Daniel Hall of Plaquemine. Hall, who was not wearing a seatbelt, lost control of his northbound Pontiac Torrent, crossed the centerline, and collided with a southbound Mack truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene, while a juvenile passenger who was properly restrained suffered only minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The driver of the Mack truck was unharmed, and authorities do not currently suspect impairment, though standard toxicology tests are pending.
