Two Teens Shot in Marietta and Raleigh
Two separate shootings left teenagers seriously injured this week. In Marietta, Ga., a 16-year-old was critically injured Saturday night after being shot at a busy strip mall on Franklin Gateway; officers found him lying between parked cars after reports of multiple gunshots around 10:15–11 p.m., and he was taken to Kennestone Hospital. Marietta detectives say at least two people fired handguns during the incident, no suspects are in custody, and investigators are urging witnesses to submit tips via the department's app or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. In Raleigh, N.C., Wake County deputies say a juvenile was shot on Ruby Drive around 1 p.m. Monday and was hospitalized with serious injuries; authorities say there is no known ongoing threat and ask anyone with information to contact WCSO at (919) 856-6911. Both investigations remain active as law enforcement seeks community assistance to identify suspects and determine the circumstances of each shooting.
