Benjamin Britton, a former candidate for the Liberal Party in New South Wales, was disendorsed after expressing controversial views on fringe podcasts, notably opposing women in combat roles within the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Britton criticized diversity quotas and described them as Marxist, asserting that women should be removed from combat positions due to their physical limitations and societal roles. His remarks, which included claims about pornography and gender dysphoria, led to his replacement by Nathaniel Smith, a former state member for Wollondilly. The Liberal Party stated Britton's views were not aligned with their values, prompting his removal from the party's website. This decision comes as part of Peter Dutton's efforts to solidify support for the upcoming 2025 federal election.
