Akron Babysitter Sought After Toddler Burned

A 1-year-old girl in Akron, Ohio, suffered first, second, and third-degree burns while under the care of babysitter Kimberly Richmond, 52, who is facing two counts of child endangering. The injuries, believed to have been caused by hot water from a bath or shower, were discovered when the child's mother returned from a trip and found her daughter crying and unclothed. Richmond failed to report the incident or seek medical treatment, and allegedly told the mother not to contact police or take the girl to the hospital. The toddler was later hospitalized with serious injuries. Police have issued a warrant for Richmond's arrest and are asking the public for help locating her. The investigation is ongoing.
