FBI Operates Nationwide Sting, Arrests 205 Predators, Rescues 115 Children

The Department of Justice and FBI announced the results of Operation Restore Justice, a nationwide crackdown that led to the arrest of 205 alleged child sex predators and the rescue of 115 children. The operation involved all 55 FBI field offices and targeted offenses such as production, distribution, and possession of child sexual abuse material, as well as online enticement, trafficking, and exploitation of minors. Those arrested include individuals in positions of public trust, such as law enforcement, military personnel, and teachers. Authorities highlighted the use of popular online platforms and video games by offenders to target children. Officials emphasized the operation's unprecedented scale and reiterated their commitment to pursuing and prosecuting child predators. The FBI and DOJ stated that these efforts demonstrate there is no safe haven for those who exploit children, and pledged ongoing vigilance in protecting vulnerable victims.
