Tulane Beats Army 24-17 on Last-Second TD

Army’s junior quarterback Cale Hellums rushed for 155 yards and two scores, and the Black Knights dominated time of possession by nearly 18 minutes and converted multiple early fourth downs but could not hold the lead. Tulane’s performance exposed lingering issues — red-zone struggles, blown coverage and a defense hampered by the absence of linebacker Sam Howard — problems the team said it must fix during a mini-bye. About 20,027 fans attended the game in hot, humid conditions.
