Sunrise New Energy Plans 1GW U.S. Lithium Battery Pack Project

Sunrise New Energy Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer and innovator of battery anode materials based in Zibo, China, has been recognized as one of the top eleven global suppliers of artificial graphite anode materials for energy storage and electric vehicle batteries. The company has achieved this status through continuous innovation, including filing 97 patents and implementing a fully self-operated graphitization process that enhances quality control and reduces production costs, contributing to profitability. Sunrise recently secured a grant of approximately RMB 4.3 million (USD 0.59 million) from the National Science and Technology Development Fund to accelerate industrial upgrading and promote breakthroughs in battery anode material technologies in the Qianxinan prefecture. This project aims to establish a comprehensive platform integrating R&D, technology transfer, incubation, and industry support, strengthening regional industrial transformation and talent development in the battery materials sector. Additionally, Sunrise’s joint venture has completed construction of a manufacturing facility with a 50,000-ton production capacity in Guizhou Province, leveraging renewable energy to maintain low costs and environmental impact. These developments underscore Sunrise's robust growth momentum and strategic positioning in the global battery materials market.
