Arapahoe Basin Kicks Off Colorado Ski Season October 26

Arapahoe Basin will open for the 2025–26 ski season on Sunday, Oct. 26, becoming the first Colorado resort to spin lifts at 8:30 a.m. and operate daily until 4 p.m. (for as long as conditions allow). High Noon (accessed via the Black Mountain Express) will be open on opening day, after snowmakers and snowcats prepared the run, and the resort plans to continue snowmaking and open additional terrain up to the summit, including Lenawee Face and Dercum’s Gulch. Opening-day activities include giveaways, donuts for the first guests in line, live music all day, and food options at on-mountain venues; parking reservations are not required on opening day but will be required on weekends from Jan. 3 to May 3, 2025. Adult opening-day lift tickets are $129, and Ikon Pass holders have unlimited access until Dec. 19 (then five days for the remainder of the season). A-Basin is known for early season openings thanks to its high base elevation and snowmaking capabilities, and resort leaders say this season is an opportunity to welcome both Ikon Pass visitors and returning community members.
