Evason, Huska Named to Coach Canada at Worlds
Dean Evason, head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets, has been named head coach of Team Canada for the 2025 IIHF Men's World Hockey Championship in Sweden and Denmark, following a 40-33-9 season in Columbus. Calgary Flames head coach Ryan Huska, who led his team to a 41-27-14 record, will join Evason on the coaching staff. The tournament is scheduled from May 9 to May 25, 2025. San Jose Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky will head Team USA at the same event. Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas will assemble Canada's roster, which has not yet been announced. Team Canada aims to improve on last year’s fourth-place finish, with further coaching and roster details to be revealed soon.
