New Jersey Missing Woman Found Alive in New York After Three Months

Destiny Erts, a 26-year-old woman from Randolph, New Jersey, who was reported missing on July 11 after last being seen at the Dover Public Library, was found alive in Harlem, New York, on October 21. Erts, who has an intellectual disability and was considered endangered, was located following a coordinated investigation involving the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Human Services Police Department, Dover Police Department, NYPD, and FBI. Law enforcement agencies pursued leads across New York City, including the Bronx, before successfully locating her and arranging her transport back to New Jersey. Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll expressed gratitude to all involved agencies and the public for their assistance and concern during the investigation.
