Severna Park Man Charged in Arson Amid HOA Dispute

Aaron Keel, 59, of Severna Park, Maryland, has been arrested and charged with first-degree arson and home invasion after allegedly setting fire to his neighbor's vacant house on April 13. Investigators determined the blaze, which destroyed the house under renovation, was intentionally set in multiple locations, and security footage placed Keel at the scene and disposing of evidence. Keel and the victims, who inherited the property, reportedly had a history of disputes concerning the neighborhood homeowners association, though the motive remains unclear. One firefighter was injured while responding, but the homeowners were not inside at the time. Keel is being held without bail at the Jennifer Road Detention Center pending a bond hearing, and a protective order has been issued for the victims.
