Watt Expected to Play in 50th Straight Game

Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt was listed limited Thursday with a hip issue but was a full participant in Friday’s practice and is expected to play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, which will be his 50th consecutive regular-season game. The hip issue likely stemmed from the recent loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Watt has been a key producer this season, compiling four sacks, 25 tackles and 10 quarterback hits, and he teams with Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig to form Pittsburgh’s premier edge-rushing trio. That pressure will be especially important given moments of weakness along the Packers’ offensive line, and Green Bay could be shorthanded with Dontayvion Wicks likely out and Christian Watson limited. In an interview Watt said he is approaching the game as "another week to get better," noted his Packers-rooted upbringing and family attendance, and he is among the fastest players to reach 100 career sacks.
