Two Men Charged Over Viable Pipe Bomb Found During Keady Police Chase
Police in County Armagh charged two men, aged 22 and 37, after a viable pipe bomb was found in a car following a police chase that began in Lurgan and ended in Keady. The vehicle, a white Toyota Land Cruiser, failed to stop for officers and was stopped using a stinger device. Charges against the men include possessing explosives in suspicious circumstances, driving while disqualified, using a vehicle without insurance, dangerous driving, and failing to stop for police, with the 37-year-old also charged with driving while unfit through drink or drugs. The pipe bomb was located in the rear of the car and was made safe by Ammunition Technical Officers. Both men are due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court, with all charges subject to review by the Public Prosecution Service. Police continue to investigate and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
