Doraville Acupuncturist Indicted on Sexual Assault Charges

Dr. Meu Keon Kim, a 70-year-old Doraville acupuncturist, has been indicted by a DeKalb County grand jury on four felony counts of aggravated sexual battery and seven misdemeanor counts of sexual battery following allegations from seven patients who claim he inappropriately touched them during treatment sessions at his clinic. Kim was first arrested in February after two patients reported him, with more charges filed in March as additional alleged victims emerged. The DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office has emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing, encouraging others who may have been victimized to come forward. Kim remains in jail without bond and is scheduled for arraignment in July. His clinic is now permanently closed, and the state medical board is conducting its own investigation, which could lead to suspension of his medical license. District Attorney Sherry Boston stated that doctors are expected to uphold the highest standards of care, but Kim is accused of violating that trust.
