Fort Collins Man Charged With Kidnapping, Assault

Maximilian Bondrescu, a 44-year-old registered sex offender, was arrested in Fort Collins, Colorado, after police and SWAT found a missing Missouri juvenile girl at his residence, following a tip from a Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force. Bondrescu initially denied the girl's presence before she was discovered inside his home. Investigators allege he rented a vehicle to travel to Missouri, met the girl, and brought her to Colorado, where she was held against her will and sometimes forced to work for his snow removal company, FoCo Sno Go, while wearing a mask to hide her identity and age. Bondrescu faces multiple felony charges, including kidnapping, sexual assault on a child, second-degree assault, child abuse, false imprisonment, harboring a minor, and failure to register as a sex offender. Authorities are urging anyone with information or who interacted with the snow removal business to contact police. Police commended the collaborative effort of cyber crime units for the safe recovery of the victim.
