Reliance Q4 Profit Rises, Dividend and Retail Growth
Reliance Industries Ltd. reported a 2.4% rise in quarterly net income to 194.1 billion rupees ($2.3 billion) for the quarter ending March 31, 2025, surpassing analyst expectations due to a rebound in its oil-to-chemical business and robust consumer-facing units. The board has proposed a final dividend of Rs. 5.50 per equity share for the fiscal year. Reliance Retail's consumer business has become the fastest-growing vertical in India with revenue of Rs 11,500 crore in FY25 and rapid expansion of FMCG brands like Campa. The company is also exploring exports to select international markets and expanding its distribution to over 1 million retail outlets. Analyst sentiment is at its most bullish since 2008, with over 92% of brokerages recommending a buy. Separately, Reliance, Inc. (RS) in the U.S. reported lower first-quarter profits but exceeded estimates on strong shipment volumes.
