Bayeux Tapestry Set for Move to New Museum in 2027

In celebration of Lexington’s 250th anniversary, the free Lexington Writers Walk will take place on April 24 at Gratz Park, highlighting the city's rich literary history. Led by Tom Eblen, the tour will feature stories of notable writers and figures linked to Lexington, including James Lane Allen and Mary E. Britton. Mayor Linda Gorton emphasized the importance of acknowledging the city's literary heritage, which has positioned Lexington as a cultural hub. Participants will receive an illustrated booklet created by Eblen, enhancing their experience of the tour. The event aims to foster a deeper appreciation for the literary artists that have shaped the community over the past 250 years. The Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning supports this initiative as part of its mission to empower voices through the literary arts.
