Orioles' Grayson Rodriguez Diagnosed With Right Lat Strain

Baltimore Orioles pitcher Grayson Rodriguez has been diagnosed with a mild right lat strain and is expected to resume his throwing program in a couple of weeks, according to manager Brandon Hyde. Rodriguez began the season on the injured list due to elbow inflammation and had recently experienced shoulder soreness, which led to the new diagnosis after an MRI. This lat injury is a recurring issue for Rodriguez, who missed significant time with similar injuries in both 2022 and 2024, limiting his starts over the past two seasons. The Orioles’ pitching staff is struggling with injuries, as key starters Zach Eflin, Kyle Braddish, Tyler Wells, and Albert Suarez are also sidelined. Zach Eflin has been cleared to throw a side session after recovering from his own lat strain.
