Diddy Combs Projected Release May 8, 2028
Sean “Diddy” Combs was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, acquitted of racketeering and sex‑trafficking charges, and sentenced to 50 months in federal prison. He was also fined $500,000 and given five years of supervised release with conditions including drug testing, mental‑health and domestic‑violence programs, searches, a weapons prohibition, and work and residence requirements. Federal Bureau of Prisons records list his projected release date as May 8, 2028, a calculation that includes credit for time served since his September 2024 arrest and assumes good behavior under the First Step Act (roughly 85% of the term). Prosecutors had sought a term of about 11 years, and his lawyers have filed an appeal, sought a transfer to Fort Dix and pursued presidential clemency. Reports of an alleged knife incident at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn have raised safety concerns as he serves his sentence, and he faces multiple ongoing civil lawsuits related to the allegations.
