Early on Oct. 26 in the Okolona neighborhood of Louisville, a pedestrian in a wheelchair was struck and killed in a hit-and-run at the intersection of Preston Highway and Industrial Boulevard, Louisville Metro Police said. Officers arrived around 12:15 a.m., found the victim pronounced dead at the scene and an unoccupied/abandoned vehicle nearby. Police said the occupant(s) of the vehicle fled on foot before officers arrived, no suspects have been identified, and the victim’s identity has not been released.
