In 2024, Thames Valley Police reported 861 cases of investment fraud, resulting in losses exceeding £23 million, primarily impacting individuals aged 35-44. The total financial losses from investment fraud across the UK reached around £649 million, reflecting a 13% increase despite a 7% decrease in reported cases, suggesting that scams are becoming both fewer and larger.
