Star Wars: Tales From the Nightlands Launches September 3

Dark Horse Comics has announced 'Star Wars: Tales From the Nightlands,' a three-issue Halloween special written by Cavan Scott, which introduces a new Star Wars boogeyman called the Nightlander. The miniseries spans three generations of heroes—Anakin and Obi-Wan, Luke and Leia, and Rey and Finn—each confronting the Nightlander, a malevolent entity that seeks to possess a living host and bring despair to the galaxy. The story is set on Ryloth, where Twi’leks believe the barrier between the living and the spectral Nightlands thins on certain nights, allowing contact with spirits. Issue #1 features Anakin and Obi-Wan attempting to summon Qui-Gon Jinn’s ghost but encountering a darker force, while subsequent issues focus on other iconic Star Wars duos. The series includes art from Soo Lee, Vincenzo Riccardi, and Robert Hack, with covers by Francesco Francavilla and concept art for the Nightlander by Iain McCaig. This event continues the tradition of Star Wars horror stories and introduces a new spooky holiday to the galaxy far, far away.
