2026 Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Set for Feb. 27-March 1

The 2026 Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg will take place from February 27 to March 1, following unanimous approval by the St. Petersburg City Council. Organizers, including Green Savoree Racing Promotions and IndyCar officials, stated that the decision to hold the event on the same weekend as previous years reflects its ongoing success and high attendance. This tradition will continue the use of a temporary 1.8-mile, 14-turn street circuit through downtown St. Petersburg. The 2025 event saw record crowds, and tickets for the 2026 race will go on sale in the fall. Three-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou won the 2025 edition, marking his first victory on the St. Petersburg streets. Organizers and stakeholders expressed enthusiasm for maintaining the event’s established schedule and downtown setting.
