Rohit 121* Seals Nine-Wicket Win
India avoided a whitewash with a nine-wicket win over Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground, chasing 237 with 11.3 overs to spare thanks to an unbeaten 121 from Rohit Sharma and a composed 74* from Virat Kohli in an unbroken 168-run partnership. Fast bowler Harshit Rana (4-39) and a disciplined Indian attack including Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel engineered Australia’s collapse from 183-3 to 236 all out. Rohit’s century was his 33rd ODI hundred and his 50th international ton across formats, earning him Player of the Match and Player of the Series. The victory was consolation after Australia had already clinched the series 2-1, and both batsmen received loud cheers at the SCG in what could have been their final ODI appearances in Australia. Rohit had earlier made 73 in Adelaide and eight in Perth during the series.
