Mike Dreitzer appointed Nevada Gaming Control Board chair

Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo has appointed Mike Dreitzer as the next chairman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, succeeding Kirk Hendrick, who will step down at the end of the legislative session in June. Dreitzer brings decades of industry experience, having previously served as CEO of Gaming Arts, president of Ainsworth Game Technology’s North American Division, COO of BMM Americas, and as a Nevada deputy attorney general advising gaming regulators. The transition is expected to be smooth, with both Lombardo and Hendrick expressing confidence in Dreitzer’s ability to continue the Board’s progress in gaming modernization and regulatory innovation. Dreitzer will assist with Gaming Arts' transition as it merges with Merkur Gaming before beginning his new role. Both Lombardo and Hendrick praised Dreitzer's background in gaming law, compliance, and business, with Hendrick noting their nearly 30-year professional relationship.
