97-Year-Old Killed in MBTA Train Collision

A 97-year-old man died in Cohasset, Massachusetts, after his pickup truck was struck and he was ejected by an MBTA Commuter Rail train on the Greenbush Line near Beachwood Street. Authorities report that the man drove through fully functioning crossing gates and safety lights. The crossing is in a 'no whistle zone,' so trains do not routinely sound their horns unless a hazard is observed.
