15-year-old arrested after Hanford Mall stabbing death of 17-year-old

A 17-year-old boy, identified as Lorenzo Sanchez, was fatally stabbed in the neck outside Kohl's at the Hanford Mall on Saturday evening. Police responded to multiple reports of a stabbing and found Sanchez deceased at the scene. Witnesses reported seeing a group of juveniles flee, and officers later detained several teens with the help of Kings County deputies. Surveillance footage revealed that a verbal argument occurred inside the mall before Sanchez was attacked from behind outside. A 15-year-old from the detained group was identified as the suspect, and multiple items, including a possible murder weapon, were found linking him to the crime. The suspect has been booked into the Kings County Juvenile Center on a murder charge, and the investigation remains ongoing.
