Australian Sprinter Gout Gout Breaks 400m and 4x100m School Records

Seventeen-year-old Australian sprint sensation Gout Gout concluded his high school athletics career with record-breaking performances at the Queensland GPS Track and Field Championships. Gout set a new GPS meet record in the 400m with a personal best of 46.14 seconds, narrowly defeating Brisbane Grammar's Seth Kennedy, who also surpassed the previous record. He also anchored Ipswich Grammar School's 4x100m relay team to victory, setting a new Queensland GPS record. Having recently competed at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Gout is seen as a rising star, drawing comparisons to Usain Bolt and expressing excitement for his future on the world stage. Despite the bittersweet end to his school career, Gout expressed gratitude for his school, coach, and friends who supported him throughout.
