Multiple vehicle crashes disrupt traffic on I-75, Route 6, Jacques-Cartier Bridge

Multi-vehicle crashes caused significant traffic delays Thursday morning in several locations. On Interstate 75 southbound near Hamilton Place Mall, a crash involving several vehicles and Chattanooga police cruisers backed up traffic for miles until the wreckage was cleared. In Wellfleet, a two-vehicle collision on Route 6 at Lecount’s Hollow Road stalled traffic, with at least one vehicle towed from the scene and an investigation underway. Meanwhile, a collision involving three or four vehicles on the Jacques Cartier Bridge between Longueuil and Montreal closed the center lane and created a traffic jam extending to Route 132, though no injuries were reported.
