Four Dead in Minneapolis Gang-Related Shootings

A 34-year-old man was arrested Thursday in connection with a series of gang-related shootings in south Minneapolis that left four Native Americans dead and at least two others seriously wounded. The violence began late Tuesday night on East 25th Street, where three people were killed and two injured, and continued the next day with a suspected retaliatory shooting near the Red Lake Nation tribal offices, resulting in another death. Police believe the shootings are part of an escalating cycle of violence within a 24-hour period, with possible connections to additional homicides still under investigation. The incidents have deeply affected the city’s Indigenous community. Law enforcement, including the U.S. Marshals Service and FBI SWAT team, apprehended the suspect, who remains in custody without charges filed as of Thursday evening.
