Steve Martin Cancels Multiple Virginia Shows After COVID Diagnosis

Steve Martin, the 80-year-old comedian and actor known for "Only Murders In The Building," has had to cancel two scheduled shows in Virginia Beach and Richmond due to testing positive for COVID-19. The cancellations, part of his "Dukes of Funnytown" tour with longtime collaborator Martin Short, were announced on social media with Martin expressing regret and promising to return under better circumstances. This is the second time the duo has had to cancel performances due to COVID, with previous cancellations occurring after Martin contracted the virus following the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary special. Refunds have been made available to ticket holders, but no makeup dates have been announced yet. The tour, which began in May 2024 and features original comedic bits, continues with future shows scheduled across the U.S. through April 2026.
