Disney Appoints Rochelle Knock Vice President Sub-Saharan Africa Operations

The Walt Disney Company has appointed Rochelle Knock as Vice President of Disney+ & Networks and Country Head for Sub-Saharan Africa, effective December 2025. Knock will oversee Disney's operations across 40 markets in the region, leading the direct-to-consumer business, family and factual networks, and supporting platform distribution and regional business development. She joins from Yoco Technologies, where she was Head of Customer Value Management, bringing over 15 years of experience in media, telecommunications, and fintech. Disney executives view her appointment as a significant milestone in their 60+ years on the African continent, highlighting her expertise in customer value and product management as key to driving growth and expanding audience reach. Knock expressed enthusiasm about building on Disney's established business to further share its brands and stories throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Her leadership is expected to deepen Disney's local engagement and expand its footprint in the rapidly evolving African media and streaming landscape.
