Michelin-Star Chef Dominique Crenn Plans Texas Hill Country Restaurant
Chef Dominique Crenn, the first female chef in the U.S. to earn three Michelin stars, is partnering with Waldorf Astoria to open a signature restaurant at their new Texas Hill Country resort in Fredericksburg, scheduled to open in 2027. The restaurant will reflect Crenn's artistic and ingredient-forward philosophy, featuring à la carte menus with a focus on game and locally sourced ingredients, including Texas wines, departing from her usual vegetarian and pescatarian menus. This venture aims to elevate Fredericksburg's identity as a premier culinary and wine destination. The Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country resort will be Hilton's debut property in Texas and will include multiple dining concepts alongside Crenn's flagship restaurant. Crenn, who also oversees a Dior Cafe in Dallas, has expressed enthusiasm about celebrating the local land, culture, and seasons through her new culinary vision. Additionally, Dallas will welcome Le Petit Chef, an immersive dining experience featuring animated art projections and a character guiding guests through a multi-course meal, emphasizing a family-friendly "fun dining" concept at the Westin Galleria Dallas.
