Justin Herbert, Madison Beer Go Viral at Lakers Game

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and pop star Madison Beer were spotted courtside at the Lakers vs. Timberwolves game at Crypto.com Arena in coordinated black outfits, and the Lakers’ Instagram post of their photo quickly went viral. During the game Herbert leapt to bat away a loose basketball headed toward Beer, a moment that circulated widely on social media and in news coverage. The pair were first linked in August and publicly kissed at a Chargers game on Oct. 5, and have since been seen together at multiple events, including Herbert visiting Beer on a music-video set. Herbert had played the previous day in a 37–10 Chargers win over the Vikings in which he threw three touchdown passes. Beer is promoting new music from her upcoming album Locket. Online reaction ranged from affectionate “couple goals” posts to jokey “jinx” chatter that supporters pushed back on.
